Long Exposure First Attempts

Here is a picture of one of our first attempts of long exposures over the m5, edited in lightroom.                                                          
 It tooks us loads of shots as we didnt really know what settings                                                                    on the camera to use but after a few goes we started to get some great images.   Hope you enjoy     

The Biscuit Dog...Before and after ( how we did it )

This is biscuit dog. There were these dogs catching balls underwater that we saw great pictures of and it inspired us to hopefully catch photos of our dogs with funny expressions.

A before and after. 

What we did : we sat the dog down on a white sheet with 2 soft boxes to give of some light. I waited with the camera in a still position as to where the dogs head would be in focus. My girlfriend then quickly threw a biscuit at the dogs mouth and the dog would quickly jump off the floor in desperation to catch the biscuit. 

It took us quite a few goes to get this right as the photo had to be taken at the right time.

We then put the photo in photoshop, cropped the image, refined the edge, filled in the background with white and high passed the dogs face to give off a bit more detail.

7 Months into Photography

Hi everyone I'm new to these blogs things so here i am giving it ago.
Back at Christmas 2012 i bought a canon 550 with a 18-55mm lens, i didn't know how to use a DSLR at all so it was a completely new to everything. Ive always loved taking photos and videos sinse i was a kid so i thought why not go and treat myself....then i went wild and bought myself a 5d mark 3.Great camera.

I spent hours and hours on youtube looking at tutorials on how to take photos, different lenses and how to edit etc. So here are just a few photos me and my girlfriend have worked on sinse she has shown an interest for this hobbie too. Hope you like.
